Our Store

Located in historic downtown McMinnville, our store is a beautiful little corner in the heart of Oregon wine country.

Our Store

We were lucky enough to find a beautiful storefront in downtown McMinnville, in what is the epicenter of Oregon wine country. Part of the Historic Downtown District, our store resides where the old bank once stood. We're excited to be part of a thriving downtown.

Much of the furniture and wood framing in the store was built out of reclaimed barn wood. This proud Douglas Fir started its life as a barn in Dayton, Oregon. The wood has a beautiful patina and aesthetic quality, and some of the boards have an extremely tight vertical grain. This kind of wood only comes from old growth forests. For someone, like Mark, who is an environmentalist and a woodworker (who loves the qualities of vertical grain fir) recycling this old wood is a beautiful way to go. It seemed only natural to finish the barn wood with a hand rubbed, Dark Walnut Danish Oil.

Restoration is a key theme in our shop. This wood, and many other features in the shop, was purchased at The Habitat ReStore (1040 SE 1st Street). If you have good quality building supplies, or household goods that you no longer need, you can donate them there. Also, if you are remodeling and looking for that perfect piece for your project you just might find it. Our new wine counter came to us from the McMinnville Public Market. When they were remodeling the Saturday Market building the contractor, Cellar Ridge Custom Homes, shared some of the old beams with us. That wood also makes up our new international wine storage shelf. We love reusing this old wood, and are thankful for contractors who do not just throw it in the trash, but make sure it has new life in a new place.
